My Shadow Work Story
Chapter 1: The Shadow of Sensitivity
When I first encountered the phrase ‘Shadow Work’, it felt a little abstract. I didn’t know what it actually meant or where to begin.
Over time, through my own healing and in my work as an Energy Alchemist, I’ve come to understand it more simply:
Shadow work is the practice of turning toward the parts of ourselves we’ve rejected, and discovering the wisdom and gifts that live there. 🖤🎁🖤
Sometimes the shadow is painful.😭
Sometimes it’s protective.🛡️
And sometimes it’s simply something misunderstood or left unsupported. 🤷🏻♀️
Shadow work is NOT about dramatizing pain or becoming endlessly self-critical.
✔️It IS about reclaiming your story, honoring your healing, and knowing yourself a little more clearly.
A meaningful part of my work is sitting beside people in the places they’ve learned to avoid. I’m not afraid to go into your shadows.🖤 I’m not afraid to sit in the darkness with you while you look at what’s there.🖤 I’ve seen again and again that what we call “shadow” often holds intelligence, protection, and treasures untold.👑
So beginning this month, I’m introducing something new inside the 🌀Inner Alchemy Circle🌀:
📓A recurring monthly shadow work journal.
Each month, we will explore one theme, softly but honestly, as we grow in self-awareness and strengthen our emotional sovereignty.
Pisces season feels like the right place to start our story. The waters are deep. Sensitivity is heightened. The unseen is closer to the surface.
So we begin with this month’s theme:
The Shadow of Sensitivity
If sensitivity has ever felt like something you needed to manage, minimize, or apologize for, this is where we start.🖤
(Below is a glimpse of this month’s reflection. The full article with expanded prompts lives inside the 🌀Inner Alchemy Circle🌀)
This month’s reflection begins with one foundational question.
Where have I treated my sensitivity as a flaw instead of intelligence?
